We’re inviting businesses across Middlesbrough to be part of a simple but impactful initiative to help keep our communities healthy, hydrated, and supported—especially during warmer weather.
Public Health South Tees is launching a town-wide Hydration Station initiative, encouraging local businesses to offer water refills to the public.
By signing up, your organisation will:
- Be recognised as a Hydration Station for the public
- Receive a window sticker (like the one attached) to clearly show you offer free water refills
- Help support community health and wellbeing across Middlesbrough
💧 Why it matters
- Even mild dehydration can affect concentration, mood, and energy levels
- Staying hydrated is particularly important during hot weather, helping reduce risks such as heat exhaustion
- Providing free access to water supports vulnerable groups, including older adults, children, and people experiencing homelessness
- Small actions like this help create a more inclusive, welcoming town for everyone
This is a completely free scheme to join, and our team will provide all materials and support—there’s no cost or complexity for your business.
By taking part, you’ll be making a visible commitment to public health while supporting footfall and community goodwill.
Interested in joining?
Simply reply to this email or contact Public Health South Tees at livewellcentre@middlesbrough.gov.uk, and we’ll arrange to get your Hydration Station window sticker sent to you and advertise your space as part of the initiative.
Together, we can make Middlesbrough a healthier, more hydrated place for everyone.
Thank you for your support, Public Health South Tees
