This week is Children’s Mental Health week and the theme is ‘This is my place’ and RTMAT Hospital School have been keen to be part of this and are passionate about the theme of ‘Belonging’
They have made a short film with HeadStart to explain what belonging means to them and answer topics such as:
“What does belonging mean to you?”
“What makes you feel appreciated at school?”
“What changes can schools make to make them feel more inclusive?”
and many more.
The pupils spoke openly and honestly and it was great to hear the pupils voice on this topic.
We have been delivering HeadStarters at the Hospital School for a while and they have achieved their Bronze Award, and are currently working towards their Silver Award.
They have been an extremely interesting group to work with, with unique and insightful points of view and we have had many lively discussions!
The film will be available to view here and on our socials during Childrens Mental Health Week, and we are very grateful to RTMAT for taking part in this and promoting the wellbeing of all children and young people in our region.
