Hello,
I’m Emma, and I am the Participation and Engagement Manager at Tees Dance. From September, we’re re-launching the dance project, MoveRise, which may be of interest to the young people you support.
MoveRise is a weekly dance session for care experienced children and young people, aged 8–16. Sessions are free and delivered at My Place in Middlesbrough by professional, trauma-informed dance artists.
Sessions take place at My Place in Middlesbrough, on Thursday evenings (term time) 5-6pm. The first term will run from Thu 10 Sep > Thu 22 Oct.
This is a safe, welcoming space where young people can have fun, express themselves through movement, build confidence, and make friends. No dance experience is needed.
If any young person is interested, then they can sign up by either scanning the QR code on the flyer or following this link – MoveRise TeesDance New Starter Form – Fill in form.
Please might it be possible for you to share this project with your network? I have attached some materials that provide more information, which you are welcome to distribute. And I am more than happy to chat things through or provide more information if needed.
I appreciate any support you can provide.
Kind Regards,
Emma Dyson (she/her)
Participation and Engagement Manager

I work part-time for TeesDance, mainly Monday’s and Thursday’s. I’ll aim to get back to you as soon as possible.
