HeadStarters at Highcliffe Primary delivered a fantastic wellbeing assembly, sharing with their peers everything they learned during their Bronze and Silver Educational Pathway.
The group showed real dedication in preparing for the event, confidently presenting key messages about emotional wellbeing and positive mental health.
They also made great use of the opportunity to promote the programme within school, inspiring future HeadStarters and supporting new recruitment.
Amazing work from an enthusiastic, thoughtful, and committed group of pupils!
Ella – At first, I felt really nervous because there were lots of people in the hall but after I did it, I thought, that was fun!
Evelyn – I was nervous and scared about the assembly and thought, I can’t do this, there’s too many people. After, I realised it wasn’t too bad- it was actually fun.
Riley – I felt nervous because I thought people would boo. My friends all came to compliment me afterwords so I felt really good.
Aiden – I felt nervous because I don’t like talking in front of loads of people but I realised I felt perfectly fine doing it.
Spencer – I actually didn’t feel as nervous as I thought I was going to. I had a smile on my face throughout and noticed that the assembly went very quickly!
Harley- At first, I was nervous and scared. After, I felt happy because I’d got it done.
Nancy – I felt scared at first but when I was doing the assembly, I realised I was OK!
Lillia – I felt really scared. After, I felt happy because I’d done it!
Mrs Brittain – the children were really collaborative in pulling the assembly together beforehand. We talked about ways we could encourage ourselves and that we new what we were talking about. The children all did a fantastic job standing in front of the whole school leading an assembly. They even planned in moments for the school to answer questions or use a show of hands!
