HeadStart South Tees has recently supported students at Outwood Redcar with their participation on the Achieve Programme.
Students have been supported since year 8 and have been involved in many enrichment activities over the last 2 years. Now in year 10, the students were taken off timetable for 2 days to participate in what was called a ‘Hackathon’.
The aim was for students to create a study guide / resource / information relating to study skills, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
Once resources have been created, HeadStart will be promoting them to partner schools and sharing them with students. As a reward for their hard work, the students have been invited to a theatre trip to Sunderland to see the stage show – Matilda.
